Our Juvenile Justice Programs are designed to serve the needs of kids caught in the Juvenile Justice and Child Welfare Systems.  The core of these ministries is our Chaplain Program which provides regular chaplain services in the Jackson County Juvenile Detention Center and Youth Shelter.

Our chaplains lead group discussions on Thursday evenings and chapel services on Sunday afternoons, as well as one to one visiting at various times during the week.

In addition to our chaplain program we also provide mentoring services to several of these kids through our Juvenile Justice Mentoring Program.  These mentors are matched in one to one relationships with kids to provide guidance, support, and encouragement helping meet the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs in their lives.

Matt Sweeney also leads a tutoring program to help kids on parole/probation to stay in school and succeed academically.

Matt Sweeney & Misty Brumble along with 12 volunteers serving in the Detention Center/Youth Shelter and more than 30 mentors, all work to provide balanced and well rounded ministry services to this very vulnerable population of young people.

We have a continuing need for new mentors due to the steady stream of new kids entering the Juvenile Justice & Child Welfare Systems.  Please contact Matt or Misty for more information.
