Rogue Valley Youth for Christ

About Us

Rogue Valley Youth for Christ is part of an international organization that has been serving teenagers since 1944.  Billy Graham was hired as the first full time staff person and he preached and conducted rallies throughout the United States.  Youth for Christ's methods of reaching teenagers evolved from Rallies to Bible Clubs to Campus Life meetings to more specialized activities that now include Mentoring, Juvenile Justice ministry, Teen Parent programs, Youth Centers, and other effective outreach activities.

Rogue Valley Youth for Christ was organized in 1961 under the guidence of local people concerned about the welfare of young people in our community.  Ralh Mundlen, the first Executive Director, began local ministry using large rally events.  In 1967, Jim Settle was hired and he began Campus Life Club ministry throughout the Rogue Valley.  In 1973, an energetic Don Hildebrand was hired and the Campus Life Club format was used throughout the 70s and 80s as the ministry became firmly established in the Rogue Valley.  Hildebrand also became well known as the host of Reflections, a very popular teen call in radio show.  The current office and youth resource center was completed in 1990, funded completely by donations from the community.  After 20 years of service, in 1993 Hildebrand left YFC and Brad Bills was hired as the Exective Director.

Our Vision is, as part of the body of Christ, to see every young person in Jackson County have the opportunity to make an informed decision to be a follower of Jesus Christ and to become part of a local church.

In Jackson County, this means our efforts are focused on the approximately 15,000 teens that are not currently being given this most important opportunity. We strongly believe that as we work intentionally and aggressively in this effort, many young people will respond to the message of Christ, their lives will be significantly changed, and transformed lives mean a transformed community!

We believe that effective evangelism happens through healthly, trusting relationships.  Therefore, in each of our ministries, we connect kids with caring adults.  Relational Evangelism is effective, responsible, and biblical!  All of our activities are conducted with strategy in mind.

Therefore, we must mobilize adults to get involved in the lives of kids!  There are many, many different ways to be used by God and to be involved.

Prayerfully consider how God may want to use you in the life of a teen!
